Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.) released the following statement on President Donald Trump’s discriminatory travel ban:
“The last time the President tried to enforce his discriminatory travel ban, I was against it. Today, my feelings are the same. Our immigration system should be orderly and humane, and I’ve been vocal time and time again about the need for comprehensive, bipartisan immigration reform that supports Border Patrol agents while also honoring our values as a nation. The President’s travel bans do nothing for the safety of American families. They will only continue to cause unnecessary fear and mass disruption. This executive order should be reversed immediately.”
